Why We Pace This Route This Way

Most Indian families arrive through Phuentsholing because it avoids an international flight, and the permit queue there is where a bad trip usually begins. We pre-clear the entry permit before you reach the border, meet you at the gate with the paperwork, and build the drive so nobody sits in a car for more than four hours. Two nights in Punakha give the children warm weather and space to run.
