Why We Pace This Route This Way

Strong walkers love sleeping once under high stars at 3,800 metres while keeping warm beds and hot showers on the other five nights of their holiday. We combine four sections of the restored Trans Bhutan Trail through Punakha and Dochula moss forests with one standing meadow camp below Bumdra Monastery. On day six you walk down quiet cliff staircases into Taktsang upper shrines long before day hikers climb up from the valley floor.
