Why We Pace This Route This Way

Teenagers lose interest in monasteries around the third courtyard, so this week gives them something to do with their hands and legs. The Punakha rafting section is grade two, which is safe for beginners and still feels like an adventure, and the archery session is run by the village team rather than staged for tourists. Parents get the Punakha Dzong morning on their own while the guide takes the teenagers to the river.
